1981 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ42 in Campbell River, BC

1981 Landcruiser BJ42. Hardtop 4X4. When they built these things they were built like tanks...and drive like them too. Selling due to the fact I'm not driving it. Hate to see it sit and not get some use. It is in shape enough that it doesn't look like a pile of junk, but not so perfect that you are afraid to use it.
Work done....TONS!
-Suspension. New springs, bushings and shocks.
-Body Tub rebuild 2 years ago. Paint to keep the rust off, looks good but not perfect. Doors need some work, and the top is not perfect.
-New windshield as I had to rebuild the windshield frame.
-Tires TSL Super Swamper Radials 32X10.50R15 lots of tread. On aluminum rims.
-Rear bumper rebuilt with reciever hitch and LED lights
-Voltage reducer for accessories. It is 24V system NATO specs
-Ramsey worm drive Winch on the front.
-Dodge caravan seat in the rear.
She is not perfect, but will go anywhere. I drove it from Nelson to here through Osoyoos in the blistering heat pulling a utility trailer. Engine never even seemed to get hot! It's a rough ride, noisy (so you can't hear the tires! Radio or the your buddy yelling beside you) and your girlfriend or wife will probably not want to go for lengthy rides! Kids love it! Seats in the front are in need of work...but the covers keep you out of the springs. Heater works awesome! Even with cold air (-20 in Nelson) I had no problem staying warm and keeping the frost moisture off the windows. Air conditioning...yes both windows roll down. I can throw the dog into pant in the back if you like.
It is a bit of a rare item and I hate to see it go. Price is reflective on what these are worth. If you are looking for something to beat in the bush......get another truck. This one will take you everywhere without the beating. Totally restored this model I have seen in excess of $32000!
